Why did I do another rebrand? Because if you say MEDIA, it’s more viable I feel.
Being in radio the last 12.5 years there is validity to being part of the media, but making it on own name recognition is the goal.
Nearly every opportunity and interview has been cultivated through my different brands and it is exciting whenever I am recognized as a podcaster .
The first break came at Queens College when Bernie Williams performed in a ‘Tolerance Concert’ and I got the chance to talk with him back in 2009! Yes, the organizers took it serious that I was a freshman host at WQMC Radio, the Voice of Queens College , and I’m ever thankful to Amrish and Ahmed and others that opened that door for me in August of 2009!
The next big break happened when I was hired at AM 970 the Answer in 2013 and have been there ever since!
As the opportunities have come along the way to be in media and be considered media , I want to do this the right way. Not flashy, but simply reporting as is. Maybe that makes me boring or less intriguing as a journalist , but I want to be RIGHT over anything else.
You may find the fact I rollerblade on one leg intriguing , but the reality is I’ve always wanted to be seen as more than that. It’s not about having One Leg, IT IS ABOUT HAVING ONE LEG UP ON LIFE!
While helping others have One Leg Up on Life through my reporting and interviews . Being on air has always been a dream and while I get to be on through radio engineering, putting ONELEGUPALEX MEDIA on air is a goal for 2026 and beyond!
For a long time , I thought ONELEGUPALEX was the answer but ONELEGUPALEX MEDIA has a ring to it that states while I am my own person , I am also entrenched in the media world. Being seen as such can open doors to bigger guests, bigger opportunities and perhaps more revenue to support this venture . Truly getting the foot further in the door.
To be recognized as media is a start, to be recognize as a media BRAND is the next step! One step at a time and one foot in front of the other on the journey for ONELEGUPALEX MEDIA!
