There have been three themes dominating the last two weeks . The juxtaposition of SCOTUS not working with POTUS on tariffs as the backdrop to an incredible run for both USA men’s AND women’s hockey at the Winter Olympics. And now the bombing of Iran!
The day before SCOTUS rejected Trump tariffs, the women’s squad knocked off Canada thanks to Aerin Frankel’s heroics and Megan Keller’s OT goal. I had predicted to my friend Steve that if Team USA men’s hockey won gold vs Canada , tariffs would be wiped against Canada. I guess that joke came into fruition a couple days early!
Steve also alerted me he predicted that Jack Hughes would score the Golden GOAL! And he was right!
While I thought the weekend of February 21 and 22 should go down as the monumental in USA history, February 28th 2026 said hold my beer! As hysterical as the Left got over Trump’s joke to the Men’s US hockey , this weekend the bombing of Iran made that outrage look like mince meat.
In the collaborative effort of the USA and Israel, the Supreme leader of Iran has been killed! As much of a victory as that is (and it’s a major one), of course all eyes will be on the fallout and the retaliation by Iran. I pray for the Jewish people across the globe following these attacks and pray for the safety of all countries in The West. I know personally I’ve wanted things to change in Iran organically and not through warfare , but I believe once the Iranian people were being killed for standing up to the regime , then talks and deals were not strong enough .
I talk about teamwork, these operations against Maduro and the Iranian regime are exactly the kinds of operations that got us free in 1776! They are tactical, aggressive and they get the job done. I’m so damn thankful that in 1776, Washington and the Intercontinental Army did not listen to the naysayers or we wouldn’t be here right now.
Much like Washington, DJT is leading us into uncharted territory weekly it seems . Whether you like it or not, his uprooting of these different countries is exactly how we uprooted the British in 1776 and it is an example of our exceptionalism .
Where we must be careful however , is that we don’t become imperialistic and run these countries for too long. Once we knock out the dictatorial culture we must step back and let the free people of Venezuela, Iran and eventually Cuba reformulate their own governments and make them a republic !
For now, enjoy the dancing in the streets of liberated nations two weeks in a row thanks to…TEAMWORK !
