It has been a chaotic few weeks. We saw former President and 2024 GOP Nominee Donald Trump survive an assassination attempt ; we saw the current President Joe Biden come down with COVID somehow, no longer seek re-election and appear maskless all in the same weekend . We even saw the Obamas finally endorse VP Kamala Harris as the Presidential nominee. Caught up yet?
Amidst the chaos, I don’t want us to lose sight of one major event that will happen in the 47th President’s term, presiding over America’s 250th birthday. Everyone is thinking so short term because of the weekly chaos, but I implore us not lose sight of the bigger picture! We need a leader who can guide us up to 2026 and through our 250th year as a country. We need a leader who can protect our borders and be tough on our enemies , not give them billions of dollars !
Yes indeed the vote we make in 2024 will have ripple effects years from now and I think will determine our path to America250 , just pray that it is a smooth path. Why am I so excited ? Personally, I want to wake up with my fiancée in the City Of Brotherly 7/4/26 and then work to make it back to Philadelphia for the All Star Game in 2026! I want to experience NYC ‘s celebrations and witness the way we become a hub for World Cup Soccer in 2026. I want to see the Founding Fathers ‘ truly be honored and making it to year 250 would be a huge sign of gratitude towards those who fought to make this country possible in 1776!
My hope for 2026 is that just like those who fought to make this country safe in 1776, we respect and honor veterans of this country beyond Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but every day! That includes better government resources for those who sacrifice and serve this great nation to protect it.
President Biden was correct in quoting Ben Franklin earlier this week.
“A republic, if you can keep it.”

Yet, President Biden and VP Harris have trotted out policies that allowed thousands of migrants to be brought to America, and subsequently, New York, but the process has not been LEGAL and that has been the biggest issue of all the last few years . We cannot sustain a country, let alone a Democracy with this idea and the fact letting in terrorists alongside those who are truly the poor, the tired and hungry that Lady Liberty’s inscription highlights.
The next President must also take on two wars that we have been heavily involved in. I would say instead of throwing money at it, just work closer with Ukraine and Israel to win those wars, respectively ! Why hasn’t either war been won by our allies yet? It’s very bothersome to me! The next President must not listen to those that deface Union Station and burn our flag, they just want chaos and more importantly, Israel to fall, we cannot let that happen!
We also must look stronger on the international stage and recovering from the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan will take more time than people realize . It was an EMBARRASSMENT! This does include standing with NATO a little more than we seemed to have been even during the Ukraine crisis.
To get to 2026 and 250 years, our dollar must be stronger . We at one point had 9% inflation over the last few years under the Biden administration . That has also been difficult to recover from, yet I do think strides are being made. We just need a President who will bring back entire fiscal success and not just occasional success through a Presidency.
For President Trump, if he wants to lead us, he should pick a more moderate VP before November . Childless Americans must have a say as well, are you freaking kidding me?! Trump also has to show more strength against Russia and he’s always failed to do so. Cow-towing to Russia on either side will not make it a smoother path to America 250! The fact we haven’t even gotten to his sentencing makes me feel we are at the tip of the iceberg in Election 2024, so please be vigilant wherever you go to support him and his rallies. Not even the FBI is truly on President Trump or his supporters’ side if it took them this long to say bullets were flying at that rally.
This is where we sit at the end of July 2024. While I have laid out the facts , just vote for who you believe can get us into America’s 250th birthday, because it is on the ticket in 2024!
Most importantly, Vote based on record, not because it is trendy!
